Course Information

Access is restricted to Illinois employees. Information contained within these dashboards and reports may not be published, shared, or distributed beyond authorized users without prior approval.

Course Information dashboards include course, section, and instructor data from 1987 to the present. There are multiple dashboards designed to help faculty and staff with reporting needs.

Data and information available on the dashboards include:

  • Lists of sections by offering, paying, and controlling college and department, as well as by subject
  • Summaries of enrollment and instructional units (IUs) by offering, paying, and controlling college and department, aggregated in multiple ways (e.g., term, subject, course-level, and course)
  • List of courses taught by individual instructor, often used for Promotion and Tenure
  • Summaries of enrollment and IUs for selected courses for multiple terms and
  • List of sections by enrollment (i.e., small or large)

Note: Course sections for an academic year (fall, winter, spring, summer) are not final until August. Instructors and funding sources may change for sections until the data are final. Therefore, distribution of enrollments, IUs, and contact hours may change.

Reports are also available for General Education Courses by Attribute. The data are generated at different points in time during the fall, spring, and summer terms. Reports for fall 2015-summer 2024 include data from census only.
