The Activity Reporting System (ARS) serves as a data entry system designed to collect activity and cost-sharing information. ARS data are used for federal and state government reporting requirements, as well as university operations (e.g., budget calculations).
ARS includes current and historical information related to employee salaries, teaching assignments, and sponsored activity cost-sharing. All employee appointment records are loaded into ARS from the payroll system, and departments are required to enter activities for all qualifying appointments.
