The Common Data Set (CDS) is used in rankings and external comparisons. Compiled by Strategic Communications and Marketing, the CDS contains statistics on a variety of subjects, such as admissions, student life, financial aid, annual expenses, enrollment, degrees, retention, class size, and faculty.
Notes:
- To ensure comparability with other universities, the data set follows the Common Data Set Initiative standards and definitions.
- Data items and definitions used by the U.S. Department of Education in its higher education surveys often serve as a guide for the CDS.
- The CDS is published annually; archived data sets are available for prior years. Email Data, Analytics, and Institutional Research for historical data.
